I bought a set of these as well still haven't got the ends off. Are they press fit ends or is the cord tied to them. It looks above like the cord is only between poles not end to end.

Wow,that's a great deal
Great find!!! I think these are just the things I need to complete the Eureka two man tent I have.
I bought a set that arrived yesterday. I think instead of taking the ends off and changing the pole length I'll design a new tarp that will make use of them as is - maybe a tarp to cover two hammocks close together.
Yeah. I looked at them. I guess I'm not sure of what I am looking at the picture with the tip also shows shock cord. Does the cord go all the way through to the tips? I have been lucky I guess I have never needed to repair a tent pole or replaces hock cord in one.

Obviously these poles are made to bend and not break, but if you used them to build a frame for a camp chair, similar to the coffey chair http://coffeychair.com/, would they work? I was wanting to experiment with using these poles to replace the tubing from crutches that I used in making my camp chair but I wasn't sure if they'd be rigid enough for that purpose. I can attest that what I have doesn't seem to have much flex in it, but it wasn't made to flex like these tent poles were either.

Any comments from those that have these poles? 5/16" seems mighty tiny but I'm sure the weight savings would be nice.
