Burr Oaks to Wildcat SE Ohio

Think that we need a C-bus get together. Not a hang, just a grab a beer and chat about trails and gear type of thing. Everyone I talk to get a dazed look when I broach the subject.

Yeah, you either are into it or not, not much middle ground. I would be up for it when available I don't drink, but will still hang, out have a soda, and chat.

The COHB meetup is doing an organized hike at Burr Oak on Feb 8th in conjunction with the Buckeye Trail Association. I've hike with a couple of the Buckeye Trail Assoc guys who will no doubt be there and who take care of that section of the trail, they are very knowledgeable about that area and are organizers of the EGGS hike as well. jlink79, I would be interested in joining you for your Burr Oak/Wildcat trip. Sounds like a great way to bring in the spring. Your description of the ammenities sounds just fine to me. Primitive backcountry stuff is in my wheelhouse. I do a lot of backpacking down in the smokies, but have only done a little bit here in Ohio (Zaleski and Shawnee are the only areas I have spent time in).

I would also be up for a get together to chat, toss a couple back, and enjoy each others tall tales of backcountry woes.

If any are interested I would be up for an after work get to know each other. I was thinking Thursday about 6pm. I'll take suggestions for a location. Was thinking a place for food and drinks like the Pint Room on 161, 101 BK, Average Joes, Winking Lizards.....
