I use one of them too now!

My hammock was the furthest out at a group camping and I walked right past it in the dark. I was probably 40' past it out in the bush when I realized that I must have gone too far. Now there's a 'porch light' left on until I turn in for the night.

?? to Dutch (or anyone else with one) though, two of us have tried to open the darn thing to replace the batteries, what's the trick to getting it open??

That's a really nice set of instructions there!

What it's missing is how to get the darn thing apart in the first place.

I had the same problem with my Petzl headlamp, finally found a help thread that one reply had a neat trick he'd found, worked like a charm and I can now open my headlamp with no added tools and no use of various profane sayings...

BTW, the trick with the headlamp is to use the plastic adjuster on the headband to press against the release clip on the headlamp. I had tried to get the release button/clip/who knows what it's named to move in just about every direction known to no avail.

That what I thought. Looks like it was made by IKEA. I'd guess the back just pops off somehow or another.

Nite ize makes lots of great products. They make a "bug lit" and they are awesome. stand them up on a table, and use them as a reading light, wrap them on your hat for working in the dark, put them on your ridgeline for a bendable light. wrap them up, and clip them on your zipper for whenever. ...what's the trick to getting it open??

Use a 1/4" screwdriver, the fingernail file on a small Victorinox knife, etc. to pry the back off.
