Advice on a Superior hiking trail trip

    Hey folks,

Me and the Misses are trying to plan a 5 day hike on the SHT and are looking for some advice on finding a good stretch of it. We would like to go around 8 miles a day at a total of 40 ish miles for the whole trip.

    Any suggestions out there?

Start at temperance River State park and go south towards Crosby Manitou.

Also, starting at Wolf Rock and heading north through Gooseberry and Split Rock State park is an awesome walk too.

    Have fun,
    Trevor

Besides distance, what's important to you? Views of the Lake, solitude, inland views, campsite quality, proximity to water, etc?

I would also suggest purchasing the guidebook. There's a lot of good information there. They have just released a digital version of the latest edition. It's on Kindle and I think another platform.
If your lucky enough to be outdoors, your lucky enough!

It seems to be available on all of the commercial platforms. The one limitation is that they put DRM on it, so you can only use it with approved and licensed devices and software.
