your advice still holds true I think.

Okay, that botfly is disgusting. I never want to go to S. America now. I'd have to wear a head net and spray all my clothes with permethrin, and smear on thick bug away goo.

I love my Freebird 132" X 65", I use the WB Travel net with the 2QZQ LDC extenders during bug season and have the WB winter sock set up the same way for winter hangs... works Awesome!

    Hi North

You sent me a message as to whether the Hammock Bliss Net Cocoon would be suitable to your 11 foot hammock. I wanted to let you know that the best solution to suit your extra long hammock and desire to not have your skin anywhere near your skin.

Your best solution would be the Sky Tent 2 which allows you to hang your hammock inside a large space with the netting well away from the your body. It would also work with your 11 foot long hammock.

Check out the latest version of the Sky Tent in the attached hang tag. The new black version of the Sky Tent 2 is 6 oz lighter in weight and features waterproof ripstop nylon on both the rain fly and base layer.

Check out the specs in the link to the Hammock Bliss Sky Tent 2 hangtag:

You can purchase the Sky Tent 2 on Amazon at this link:

I think I've read of some people here using the BIAS buginator with an 11' hammock. Maybe lengthwise it's ok but depth-wise the bottom of the hammock touches the net?

    butt in a sling - buginator 9'9" x 4'2"
    Hammock Bliss Net Cocoon 9'10" x 4'9" x 4'4"

I ask because I want a bugnet that doesnt touch the 11' hammock, yet I find the Sky Tent too heavy for my backpacking. I'll already carrying a tarp (probably cuben) so need a stand-alone bugnet

How big is needed to fit a 11' hammock (with a ridgeline length varying in the 9-10' range) to have several inches of space between the hammock bottom and the net?

I have a BIAS nano with a 11' and it works great. No issues at all.
