I was just wondering about how much warmer would a low hanging Superfly tarp with sewn in doors which are closed provide?

I certainly wouldn't look for a tarp to add warmth; rather to shield you from the elements (such as wind and precipitation) that steal warmth.
With that said, a good four-season tarp like the Superfly will absolutely keep the elements at bay.

What it does is keep the winds from whipping in from the front and back.Spent the last two wkends in 25mph winds with a SF. Great tarp!!!
Even a small breeze can rob any warm air trapped under your tarp. You will probably be more satisfied by increasing your insulation. You can add top covers, UQ protectors and even bug nets to help raise temperatures.

A Superfly wont provide warmth but, it'll keep the winds from robbing it from your under quilt. I've set it up so weather tight (by pitching down to the snow pack and burying the edge of the tarp in the snow, while I dug my snow trench), that I put a massive layer of frost all over the tarp. It was because I didn't vent it well enough.

If your looking at buying a SF it will be a great purchase, I would recommend a under quilt protector as well from 2QZQ to assist in holding in the heat and additional wind blocking

i bought one of the first super flies in 2008. i hang it low. about 6" off ground and push leaves or snow around edges. keeps the wind out, but no heat gain.

I have a super fly and love it! I agree with all the above comments it will not keep you warmer however it will keep you dry. The doors r great for blocking a small amount of wind. Hang it low and tight in cold windy weather.
You know how they give the outdoor temperature and the wind chill?
With the Superfly (or similar tarp), you have a good chance of staying at the outdoor temperature.
Without it, be prepared for wind chill-like temps.
To clarify my last post; I now leave a small gap where the suspension comes through. I lose some warm air, but it's warm moist air that escapes and that leaves less frost behind on the tarp.
