Pole Mod Pockets

Local guy was having some frustration with attaching poles to his Super Fly for a pole mod.

I offered to sew on pockets on the corners. But i think I came up with a better option.



Pockets it like a tiny little bag, made from 1.5 inch and .5 inch grosgain. Attaches to the D rings or in his case Triangles with zero sewing.

I tested the pockets pretty heavily to see if I could tear them, and could not. We shall see how they stand up in the field

This should also work on your side wall tie outs, simply larks head it to the loop. No fuss no muss, no tiny holes in your fly.

Not a pocket, but still a "modification" that allows for quick/easy attachment of a pole to a tarp tie-out point. See photo. This is my Old Man Winter.

Depends somewhat on type of pole end-cap.

Bump! I am currently drawing up plans to build a tarp that will need 4 or so pole mod pockets and was wondering if you could show how you made these pockets!?

Here is another option...

I had Jared @ SLD add these but they could just as easily be attached with ribbon or a small continuous loop.

These are 1/2" beastee dee rings.

These are the poles I'm using with the rubber end cap so I'll need a pocket of sorts, but I also want to be able to tie out from the pockets so they'll have D rings built into them as well.
