Just finished mine a few days ago. but i need some extensions on the uprights so that i can hang my BBDD winter dream tarp.
I can cover the hammock but the tarp ridgeline is close to the ridgeline of the hammock.
Maybe 1-1/2' extensions on the top or just make longer uprights.
I love it.

I've been kicking that idea around in my head TNRat. I used two knobs from a lawnmower handle to make it easier to set up, and take down the uprights and braces. I was thinking of doing the same with the outriggers. I may drill another set of holes on the sides, and mount the outriggers for storage/transport. I was also thinking of just loosening up one bolt on opposite sides of the outriggers and swinging them under the frame. What to do?
A) Pull one bolt from each end and swing outriggers parallel.
B) Install cleated anchor (as used on childrens playsets made of lumber)
nuts on the underside of the outriggers, overdrill holes through main
beams and slide in 1/2" internal diameter thin wall pipe or bushings,
source and install 6"x1/2" shouldered eye bolts. This setup will allow
for quick and easy bolt removal and seperate carrying of the outriggers.
**C) Remove the outriggers completely and carry a couple 12" heavy duty
stakes. Plant them immediately outside hammock, then run one
continuous length of 550 cord from one syspension eye bolt, around
one of the heavy duty stakes, through the other suspension eye bolt,
around the other heavy duty stake, then cinched tight back through
the 1st eye bolt with a trucker's hitch.
I fully intended to convert to option #2, but after stumbling upon option "C"
while trying to "make do," I elected to stay that route (8' less of 2x4 to carry).

just thought id chime in though and point out that cleated anchors are also called "T-Nuts" if anyone is having issues tracking them down
Im planning on building this stand and will definitely be implementing plan B on it

Awesome that there are so many of these out there.
I made my latest using 2x3 studs, and 2x4's for the verticals. Noticeably lighter, with no apparent loss in strength...
