My kids and scouts call me Jimbo, but that was taken.
But Yojimbo was free and I like it.
Yojimbo (用心棒) is a 1961 jidaigeki (period drama) film directed by Akira Kurosawa starring Mifune.
In 1964, Yojimbo was remade as A Fistful of Dollars, a spaghetti western starring Clint Eastwood.
Mifune's character became the model for John Belushi's Samurai Futaba character on Saturday Night Live.
Last Man Standing (1996), a Prohibition-era gangster thriller starring Bruce Willis, is an officially authorized remake of Yojimbo.
So now I can be associated with Kurosawa, Clint Eastwood, John Belushi, and Bruce Willis. I like that.
