    XLC over cover mod

I was thinking about it and was wondering if anyone has ever done a venting of some sort in the over cover, what I mean is maybe cut a hole in the top cover and put no seeum in it or something along that lines maybe a zip that opens or something, hopefully you get the picture. Of course this is for use in cold weather to help with the condensation.

I haven't but was thinking about a top cover made from cuben fiber or eVent with a covered (Tent style) vent on top. Also a tail that over hangs the two ends to keep light rain off the gathered ends. Why not make it "some what" water proof. That would make a neat light and fast tent. No Tarp needed in fair weather. Light rain would be nothing!

I'm not really looking for anything waterproof I'm just thinking of a venting solution for condensation during cold weather

I was going to see if 2qzq could maybe put a patch of mesh in the cover with a zip flap to control venting. Then you could also have a small window.

I wouldn't think it would be too difficult to do just wondering if anyone else has already done it

I think it is a great idea! The top cover is worth every penny that was paid for it, but this mod has got me thinking.

I'm sure that it will be done soon, I'm surprised that it hasn't already been done

Why not just unzip it a little?
