Winter Topcover

I made an extremely breathable one for my Blackbird and like it. Where it really shines is in very windy conditions. I made mine out of loose weave, pure finish1.0 nylon ripstop.

Can anyone elaborate on the benefits of a topcover? ... How much light does it let in during the day, if say I'm passed out in the yard after a long morning of drinking?

I spent all morning taking one (12, actually) for the team, and according to my precise measurements, the top cover lets in 20 less lumens per beer. At the 12 beer mark, either my light measuring photometer began malfunctioning, the top cover stopped letting in any light at all, or I started singing Barry Manilow songs and I couldn't focus my eyes enough to read the output.

I was trying to be cute (can get lost in typing I guess). But seriously, if you don't like it, selling it like any other Warbonnet product would be easy as pie (more so the point I was trying to make by being cute)...

I wasn't judging but yes you are right, the warbonnet stuff holds it value really well, reselling is never a problem,, being fast enough to grab up something is another story!

Thanks for the replies. I ordered it anyways since it's better to have and not need, etc. and I have always lived by the rule that more stuff is better than less stuff. If it adds a little warmth and blocks a little wind then I'll use it often.

Come to think of it, warbonnetguy (Brandon) should consider selling the topcover separately, too. That way, you could get a replacement if yours got stolen, lost, or you never got one in the first place. That'd bring him some big dollars! (hint, hint,)
