My experience with other top covers they add about 10*.
Life has no remote. Get up and change it yourself!
Thanks... I guess every degree helps.
I love mine. If the sun is out and its cold out its like an oven. It feels great.

Just got mine. Glad I got the top cover.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Bringing this thread back...
Can anyone elaborate on the benefits of a topcover? I went ahead and purchased my XLC with one figuring it never hurts to have a little more warmth. I am wondering if there is a temperature range where it is no longer effective at raising the inside temperature? Does it reduce felt wind through the hammock? How much light does it let in during the day, if say I'm passed out in the yard after a long morning of drinking? Really, I'd like it if someone could explain why they use/need/enjoy the topcover.
My guess is those who like it will say it's great, those who don't will say it's OK. I say try it yourself and if it doesn't work for you, sell it on the for sale section for a nifty profit. Like $120 shipped. Can't buy them separate so if someone wants to try to get one after market that would be the only way. I ordered mine, and figured if I hated it, that would be something I could do...
I wasn't sure either but I ordered it with mine because you can't order it separately. I'd rather have it and not need it than not have it and can't even get one. I think I'm gonna like it anyway. I'd advise getting it. Like someone above said, if you don't like it or want it, you shouldn't have any trouble selling it.
Well, for one selling it for double is not very brotherly, we are all here together to help each other out, and secondly if you keep your eyes open you can pick them up on Warbonnets promotions page from time to time with a slight blen on them for a discounted price.
I just ordered one from Brandon off the promo page for $15.00 off the original price, it has a slight blemish on it.
But all in all i think if you do any kind of cool weather hanging you will find it very handy.
