Follow up question - what is it that differentiates a PIF from a giveaway, other than a more complex procedure and a specified time frame? Or rather, why is one only allowed to be listed in the general PIF thread and the other allowed to occupy its own thread?

Then again, I guess it's best not to look with too critical an eye, since it all stems from a desire to give to others, which is noble in and of itself.

The PIF rules require the recipient to reciprocate whereas a give away is "no strings attached".

The PIF forum has some specific forum permissions that require participants to have 50 posts to participate. This doesn't fit give aways well.

Yep...""Grumpy" fits. I'm just getting tired of seeing the same posts at the top of the page with nothing but a new "I'm in".

I can see them taking up 1/2 of the front page that's left below the stickies....or maybe there's not that many generous thoughtful members.

I suppose a mod should just delete this tread and scold me for creating more work for them.

What would be different? even in a sub forum every i am in would still go to the top of the timeline on the home page,, would it not??
