Best way to manage excess whoopie sling?

I usually take the left over tails and join them as my ridgeline to hold up my bugnet and ridgeline organizer. I made extremely long whoopies compared to most I've seen on this forum and usually have just enough to connect the two. Your thread got me to thinking in a situation where they aren't long enough to connect, which has happened, a couple of loop aliens or some Dutch hardware and a smaller piece of zing it to bridge the gap might work. That would help make my way too long whoopies some what of dual use. Just an idea.

As the others advised, just gather it into a hank...you don't even have to undo it to take it down....

...or just place the end through the adjustable loop. It will be clamped in place when the hammock is weighted...

I do both, so I don't wrap the hank just stick it in there, and use the bead to hold it close to the bury

If I understand you correctly, I take the tail end of he whoopie and roll it up and put it in a loose over hand knot that is easily undone. Hope that helps

I do the same with my tree straps, I do not like anything dangling around
