Very nice design! I think I'll make one like it for my daughter's hammock. Have to find pink velcro and noseeum first, though.

I guess that wouldn't work on a HH style Asym with tie outs?
I still haven't put a net on my DIY.

It actually should work with the tie outs. Put your weights in the corner pockets and it will drape down either side of your line. Or - even better - put a slit along the hanging pockets in the right places for either side tie out and it will drape perfectly.

OK, this has got me thinking... dangerous I know.
So you have those triangle pieces at the ends... what about using them for something other than just triangle pieces? What about merging those with DWR end caps/storage shelves? What about having that DWR also continue under the rest of the hammock for some sort of weather sheild, with the sides open to get in and out?
Dang it, I've had some bug net for a while trying to think of how to use it best... now you've only prolonged my pain by giving me more to think about...

If you made the triangles into end caps you could get away with no velcro. Now it will work on any end gathered hammock, without having to sew on velcro strips to the hammock. Very good.
Having DWR go all the way under... now it's a modified hammock sock. I think someone made a bug net / dwr or silnylon hammock sock, don't remember who. But having the side flap entrances would make it easier to get in/out of than having to pull it back like with a sock.
To the drawing board.
