Ok North Ga, it's hang time...

We've been hibernating long enough, it's time to come out and see our shadows.

I'm thinking mid March but we'll do the usual and try to make it whatever weekend works for the most people.

Does anyone know if Raven Cliffs has been reclaimed from the bears? If not then we can go with the tried and true Burrells Ford or we can find somewhere new.

    What say you??

Looking forward to it. Any weekend is good. The bears should have moved on by now. Cold weather and hunting pressure should have relocated them.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Raven Cliff sure is handy to get to.

March 8 is my anniversary, so try not to have it that weekend. I like raven cliffs, burrell's ford, or something new if anybody has any ideas. Did they ever get the bathrooms fixed at raven cliffs?

Bathrooms, we don't need no stinkin' bathrooms!

Well, bathrooms are nice, but not needed. Good place to hide from the bears! FYI, Palmetto State Hangers are having a Spring Swing on March 28 in Myrtle Beach.

I am in. I have no strong opinion as to date. If we do go to Burrell's FordI would like us to consider moving on upstream a short distance. Not far from where we have been camping there is a large flat area with no shortage of live trees to hang from. Freehome and myself hiked up there and I believe we counted over thirty good hang sites. It is right on the river bank, so plenty of water, and all in all looks like a great place for a group hang. There was also plenty of fire wood laying around.
This is not a big deal to me, just passing on information. I will hang with the crowd where ever we go.

Me and my son are about to head up to Raven Cliffs to check the situation there and take a lil hike. I'll report back on the conditions. I'd really like to have it there so I can bring my son for awhile. Not to mention I still have all the leftover firewood from the last hang there, and we'll have access to plenty of spare gear in case anyone forgets anything. Not that that's ever happened or anything.
