I sure would like to. I'm taking pointers from this thread since I happen to be looking at dual sports to do this same thing right now.

I use a cheap, light weight, nylon net hammock. It's multi-purpose for me. I hang it under my hammock at night for gear storage & use it as a hammock chair the rest of the time.

My first DIY project was this one from SteelerNation. It's not the best chair, or pack cover (I have used it during hunting season), but it is a great gear hammock. Here it is ready for use but empty.

My hammock has a weather shield under the hammock that just hangs there. So thats where all the clothes I don't use goes. It can always be taken off and used as a hammock in it's own right. Else I use to pack in dry sacks, and I keep those in the pack.

I was going to buy a Granite Gear Cloud Cover Pack Fly, but I think I might buy the Jeff's Gear Hammock from Jacks R Better. Thanks, this board is full of info.

Late to the party. But with a tarp that large, I just put my pack on the ground underneath me. I can easily reach down and grab anything out of the pack throughout the night if I don't already have it with me inside the hammock.

I love my mm gear box. On long trips, it always comes with me. It's the first ting to come out of my pack when it's time to set up. String it up, then unload my pack into it. Then I can proceed easily settig up camp. Nothing gets lost, makes it real tough for critters to ruin or run off with gear, plus if any unexpected weather rolls in, you can rest easy knowing your stuff will be dry.
