    PA suggestions mid march?

I have some time in March and was thinking of heading somewhere like the Allegheny National Forest for a couple quiet nights.

Just based on internet browsing I was thinking of somewhere along the North Country Trail by the Allegheny reservoir but am open to informed opinion of places that are good.

General thoughts are for less than 5 miles per day, somewhere reasonably scenic and away from crowds. I'd also rather keep my driving time down so ideally somewhere in the northern half of the state.

    Thanks in advance.

Allegheny is nice. anywhere in the Tracy ridge system will suit your purposes. It is nice to have a place like that so close. Just north of the state line is Allegany State Park. You will have to pay to park there, but the NCT continues through there and it is some lovely country.

I'd quote a certain book, but that is not allowed.
