Any time I've been in that area, never been an mosquito issue - higher elevation I guess. However, its that time of year when a nice hot day can really bring out the gnats.
my experience at raven, i have encountered mosquitoes...i am highly attracted to them lol

Doodad, bring her up to meet us, we are family you know. Besides, we want you to cook breakfast for us.

Man, I found this thread just in time! Hope to see everyone there. Is this the spot that was overrun with bears last year? Should a person bring a can of bear mace?

That could come in handy, although we are not hearing of any recent activity by bears in that area.

With as many folks as there are saying they're coming the bears will be vastly out numbered. And that's a good thing! Me and Buddy are looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting the new folks.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I don't have a bear canister, but From what I've read so far, the site sounds easy enough to get to we should be able to leave food in the cars. That should help a lot as well.
