    Could work. I've made PLUQs for my kids and added a layer of cheap polyester batting and they seem to do pretty well into the low to mid 40s. Some 2.5 ox Apex would probably be a nice addition.

    No, I've been intending to take it to the office and put it on our postage scale but haven't done it yet. My guess it it will a little on the heavy side compared to some.

    As long as it isn't too bulky to pack, I think I can handle the extra ounces. I'm sure I'll grow to be a weight weenie with time, but for now I just need things that work!

    A stuffed PLUQ will definitely be a little more bulky than a non-stuffed PLUQ and PLUQs are a little more bulky than say a down UQ...but not too badly...
