    The one inch amsteel is $9.47 a foot here, but you would only need that if you were trying to make a hammock for your pet elephant. Here is a list of all their different sizes and colors of amsteel. The 7/64 is up to $0.20 a foot and should be more than adequate for all your hammocking needs.

    Redden Marine gives us a discount if you mention/tell them that you are from Hammock Forums. Make sure that you are looking at the correct size. It's either going to be 7/64 or 1/8. If your looking for a full roll (600) ft. the best place I have found is Seattle Marine. It's .14 per foot. A 600ft roll cost me $100 shipped. That works out to just under .17 per ft. (.166).
