    One Tarp

The perfect tarp for me I don't believe is commercially available. It would be the exact dimensions of a Superfly, same pullouts, same cat cuts, same everything, except in camo cuben fiber.

Superfly unless Adam starts offering the Cuben Superfly. Wonder if those two COULD get together?

Cuberfly? I bet it comes in it's own stuff sack with a nice size rock just so it don't float away.

My HG Cuben Winter Palace. Lots of room, super light at 8+ ounces and will lighten your billfold.

Pictures are of a Mosquito Hammock Camo Diamond, Gear Guide Tarp and Warbonnet Mamajamba for comparison on size

While the camo Tarp looks tiny in this picture, my Black Bird fits under it with no problem. I use is in good weather when I do not expect bad weather.

I have to get out and set up my HG Cuben Winter Palace with some of the other tarps for size comparison.

Here are a couple of shots of my winter tarp in porch mode and buttoned down.

I think it was around $180. Here's a review on it.

HG Cuban Winter Tarp with doors. 6.5 oz and perfect for almost anything! You could go an oz or so heavier and get a winter palace tarp but I have not seen the need for anything that big. Pricy but worth it!

I have looked at a lot of the tarps you guys have in some of your pics which are very nice. I want to buy an all around tarp that I don't have to worry about getting wet. Maybe doors, not sure I'm not a gram wennie but I don't want something too heavy. Your input would be very helpful, but remember if you could only have one tarp what would it be?
I am very pleased with my Kelty Noahs Tarp. Although it is not ultralight the 12 ft tarp I have (smaller sizes are available) is reasonably light at just 2 lbs, and its inexpensive when compared to many other brands. It has lots of tie-out loops that make it very versatile. The tarp is shaped for use in the popular diamond configuration, but can be set up in an A as you might with a square tarp. It can also be rigged in a "storm shelter" configuration without paying for add-on doors to close the ends. I used it in a soaking rain, and sometimes downpour, that lasted throughout the solstice weekend in December and everything under the tarp stayed dry.

If you carry trekking poles they can be used to set it up as a tent when no suitable trees are available for a hang.
