    My WBBB is olive, or brown...and black. My TQ is a 0*Burrow in green and black, custom fit for me cuz I'm little. My underquilt is DIY JCP down Gator Orange and Blue inside, black outside. My pack is a custom-fit ULA Catalina in BRIGHT red.

    And I wear a skirt to hike in.

    I'm still putting my kit together, but so far, my hammock is "Brownish-green", and my tarp (still looking) will also be just as stealthy. I have no desire to stand out while camping. I'm a soloist thru-hiker, and have no need for attention. I also like to feel like I'm a part of nature, not a loud intruder, which, I, personally, would feel with a brighter set-up.

    I think if I did more of a gleeful group weekend camping thing, perhaps I would be more inclined to get brighter colours. A vibrant purple would be nice. But that's a whole different approach. Vibrant colours are my city colours.

    My current backpack is a golden yellow, and I'm considering the reddish Osprey as a new one, but would prefer something not so loud, like the black and green, but the red is more easily available, and I'm not as concerned with the brightness of the pack as opposed to my hammock and tarp.

    I'd say ask her what her goals are in camping.

    Mine is a clark UL with a camo tarp. I have since upgraded to a Cuben tarp. Still learning how to hang.

    info wanted;
    material of hammock and vendor
    insulation info
    backpack info
    and the rest I will make her create a profile on here and ask for herself
    If I can only have one ready made: WBBB 1.1 single, otherwise I have a 1.1 calendered ripstop nylon, woodland camo home made hammock made of material from DIY supply.

    Insultation: Hammock gear Phoenix 3season and 3season burrow. I also use a summer UQ from UGQ and TQ from Leighlo
    Backpack: last year I rotated between a ULA Ohm and a Gossamer Gear Gorilla. This year, I am using a Z-packs ArcBlast.

    I think we're all (men and women) concerned with the same things: comfort and functionality that fit the circumstance. Have her try out some hammocks to see what works for her.

    agreed. she had been in my thunderbird, eno doublenest and switchback. have to get her to climb in them with the bug nets as well, see which one she likes more. she just wants her own and she is not one for earth tones or camo.

    My wife hates pink for herself, but she really liked that full pink hammock.
    I would love to get her one, but she would never use it. To the point of: ALL of the pink items in our house are Mine!* I'd love one for me, at least to use at the renfest (I'm the "Guy in Pink" at the Ohio Ren fest) but wife says "You got enough hammocks!!!!!!!!!" which confuses me, as I only have 3!

    *Wife hasn't bought me anything that wasn't pink in 8 years. Ever since I made the pink outfit for ORF.
