    Pictures of hammocks women are using

    so my girlfriend is thinking she wants her own hammock. I mentioned I saw pictures of some setups that woman are using on her that were..colorful (pinks and such).
    I am looking for pictures and general setup info that women are using. she will be starting 3 season hammocking this spring with us(Whiskeyjack's clan and myself).
    info wanted;
    material of hammock and vendor
    insulation info
    backpack info
    and the rest I will make her create a profile on here and ask for herself

    I made one for my daughter from a turquoise tablecloth. She thinks it's beautiful...now just to get her to go camping with me.

    If DIY isn't your thing I'm sure one of the cottage vendors here would custom make a hammock. The insulation, not so pink but UGC has done some nice custom work for others. Backpacks should be pretty easy to find in 'girly' colors. I know ULA offers their packs in purple and many people really like their packs.

    Here's a picture of my latest DIY bridge. (The bugnet has shockcord that attaches to the CRL of the tarp.)

    I have a $10 emerald green gathered end that I got off of Amazon(Hammocks4All), it works really well and is very pretty. I also have some gray material that I plan to make into a double, if I ever get the motivation. For a pack I use an old external frame pack given to me by a much loved Marine.

    Radden Marine Supply, Inc has red dyneema that was actually hot pink when I got it. They said that is just the way it is.

    I guess it's okay if she wants a 'pretty' hammock...

    Me, I've always been one that takes function over pretty.

    But then I also shop for vehicles based on mileage and condition and not the colour or the bells and whistles.

    Brandon at Warbonnet did some pink Blackbirds for Breast Cancer Awareness. I just wrote him this week, and he had a few left. I bought one for my wife, and it should arrive any day now. He probably still has one or two. I'll post a pic once it shows up.
