    WBBB Underquilt Question

I have a Blackbird and am preparing to finally make the switch from a pad to an underquilt. After some research I have decided on the Yeti. Only now I notice it is about 8-12" shorter than other 3/4 length UQs (I couldn't originally figure out why it was so much lighter than others!). Did anyone find this to be a noticeable con? Or will I not really even notice? I plan on getting/making a footpad too. I'm 5'10", any recommended dimensions for that in regards to the Yeti? I'm guessing I'll want it a little longer. Thanks for any suggestions!

I have a Yeti and it has always done me good. You will need a small pad or something for your feet in cooler weather.

I carry about 1/3 of a foam pad with me for sitting and use it between the layers of the footbox of my WBBB with the 3/4 length Yeti. I've never had a problem with staying warm. BTW, I'm 6'1" so you should be good to go. Of course YMMV.

At 5'10", the length of the Yeti should be just fine for you. The trick is to make sure you have the right sized pad. I actually shorten my personal 3/4 underquilt to a similar length because the pad I use is long enough to overlap. Why carry more than you need, right?

Oh, and I am 6'1" as well....

Awesome, thank you! I think I just needed some assurance. I love my Blackbird, I have no doubt Warbonnet knows what they are doing with the Yeti.

I believe the shorter length is because it is designed to end at your neck, if you sleep on your side with your arms up, it might be a problem for you. But many here don't have a problem with that.

+1 on this, thank you Stormcrow. The Phoenix was the UQ I was going back and forth with the Yeti for me.
