    walmart ripstop with octogons

was wondering what exactly this is. i saw some at walmart tonight. its a buck 50 a yard. seemed heavier then 1.9 but not sure. i bought a yard to use for embroidering some patches and figured id weigh it when i get home.

what would this be good for? i am thinking compression sacks since its a little heavier feeling

weighed the material and it came in at 1.9oz a sq yard. thinking this might be fine for a sock as its uncoated and a little heavier to block wind. was 1.50 a yard so bought the 12 yards. using it now for some patches.
