The wife gave me a card and in it was a note saying that she tried to get me a $50 gift card to REI, but the website wouldn't allow her to finish the transaction.. Woke up this morning with her handing me $300 and her saying "Go have fun!" and "is this enough?"
. Not being the pushy type I said yes and now heading out the door!! Heading to REI and Backwoods. She's not helping my sickness. My friends and family have labeled her an enabler.

Came home with my bounty. Bought a Grand Trunk Skeeter Beater Pro hammock "for the kids". Got to say, I like it a lot. It packs half the size of the Clark(but It doesn't have half the features). I think I lay in it flatter than my Clark. It was a little @ $75. Bought me some silnylon for my tarp snake skins that my mom is going to sew up tomorrow(Sunday), a GSI stainless steel bowl with a handle that is big enough to use as a pan, 2 more Nite Ize figure 9 carabiners, 6 MSR Groundhog stakes, a Cabelas camp pillow that's perfect in the hammock, and a map of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. And I put gas in the truck and STILL have money left over! It was a great day.
