Hey everyone,
New to the whole hammock thing figured I would stop in and say hi. I am in the Army and I'm currently stationed at Fort Bragg (for the next few months anyway then I'm off to Korea).
I have a Hennessy explorer deluxe in the mail and it should be in in by Friday. I went with the upgraded hex fly and snake skins for both the hammock and fly. I haven't even received the hammock yet and already spent some money at dutchwaregear.com and DIYgearsupply.com, thanks to reading up on this forum for the last few weeks.
My plan right away is to make a gear sling (someone on here had a great point why leave your gear on the ground if your in the air) and an underquilt (I think I have a good idea on what I am going to do).
I am open to any and all suggestions and advice, and I look forward to meeting everyone and the hanging way of life.

Don't tell the marines, navy and air force guys though they still don't realize it. Anyway all joking around aside welcome, you'll learn more here on accident than elsewhere by design.
