I give an overview of how one can add webbing based suspension to a hammock. In particular I show
- making a figure-8 knot at the end of webbing, for a carbiner
- hanging a hammock that has webbing suspension and carbiners at both ends
- adding rings to the end of a hammock with a channel, using the channel, and attaching around the hammock body
- using the JRB triglide system
There isn't much here for the hammock cognoscenti, unless you like seeing me hit the ground because I had the knot in the loop ring on which SMC rings are attached in the wrong place. Lesson : knot next to rings means the prusik knot is not pinching as it should.
Now I'm teeing up another one that focuses on suspension techniques based on cord.
