Thanks again FLRider, that was exactly the info I needed. I'll probably pull the trigger on one soon. The added wind block/privacy of the doors is exactly why I'm looking to upgrade. I'll probably end up doing the no sew pole mod too for when I'm lake/car camping and just use my hiking poles on the tie outs for when im hiking. I'm looking forward to the extra room in the tarp.

I also looked into the old man winter tarp, but with the add ons it would be about double what the superfly costs, and I wasnt sure about the weight. I'm used to hiking with the hex tarp, and with the superfly ill get better coverage and probably save a little weight depending on how i decide to rig it.

    Thanks again folks!

I pulled the trigger on the superfly about a week ago, and im really looking forward to getting it! Now I have another question. Do I need tarp tensioners with this tarp? I never used them with my PU coated tarp, but I keep reading that silnylon is stretchy when wet. Opinions?

    Definitely need 'em.
