    it happened to me and I closed firefox and opened it back up. I lost my stored password, but i am back up and running. I am not sure if octo fixed it, but I am right again.

    For this thread.

    I guess i can shut down the 3 antivirus programs running now.

    I googled the problem and it said most likely Wifi network had been hacked by neighbors ....almost got ticked.

    Unless the entire site has been hacked....

    any confirmation from mods that its a site issue?

    either way ....at least its not just me.

    security certificate

    I don't know, need to know or care if HF used Microsoft or Apache or some fruity Web Server, but I would appreciate it if someone who does know what they are doing fixes the expired SSL Security Certificate problem. Many ways to do it, just "git er done" Thanks

    Jeeze, it is no big deal, if you are so frightened just don't login in, because that is all the ssl cert really does for you, encrypt the password exchange. it isn't like you are pming credit cards and social security numbers, or are you

    Ssl just encrypts what you send and receive from the server, and has the added benefit of verifying the identity of the server.
