    Question New possible hanger

Hi all, It's me, DRobertson. My mother recently decided she wanted to start going hammock camping with me. She needs an underquilt. It's a bottom entry HH expedition, and I was wondering which underquilt would be best. Here are my considerations for a 20* UQ.

Jacks 'R' Better nest (although I'm worried about down shifting because of the vertical baffles)

Underground Quilt Zeppelin (maybe have custom tie out loops matching the HH)

KAQ potomac (I'm worried my mother would be too cold in this because of the 30* rating)

However, I'm leaning towards the zeppelin. I like the entrance slit of the jrb, but not the vertical baffles. However, we could get the zeppelin in just about any color, but no entrance slot, which I've heard isn't necessary. What do you think is the best choice?

I'd consider the Hennessy Super Shelter cheaper and works well.

I have a Potomac that I use with my bottom entry HH. You slide it over to get in, and it pops back into place just like advertised. I think the key is running the hammock tie outs thru the loops on the UQ.

Id rather stick with underquilts. My mother is a really cold sleeper, so the potomac is out.

I use a Nest on mine, but whichever you choose, I recommend you get at least a mod 1 from 2QZQ on the Hennessey. It's nice to unzip the net to adjust the UQ. http://www.2qzqhammockhanger.com/index.html. I had my HH modified by Donna and have an UQ protector made by her as well. Great work.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

AHE can make your Potomac with an extra layer of APEX to make it more of a winter quilt. Should put the temp rating down to about 10-15 degrees F.

Actually the standard rating is 25 and with the 4 season upgrade option it would be in the single digests for most teens for a cold sleeper.
