Hi,
I've got a Explorer Deluxe Zip Asym and I've been scratching my head wondering what this bungee cord on the inside (photo below) was designed to be used for? Can anyone share? Thanks!

My Expedition has one also, but I never bothered to find out what it's purpose is.
My hammock...is MyD0j0!
good question, I have one also and don't know what its for
Donna here...I believe it is to hold an insulating pad in place...Hennessy sells one. Someone correct me if I am wrong!

I have the little plastic eyes inside my Ultralight corresponding with the tie outs, but no bungee cord.
Maybe its a safety line for restless sleepers?...or not.
Thanks, Donna!
The only insulating pads I've seen on their site is the under pad for the 4 season and the double bubble reflective pad. But I would bet you're correct about it's intended use.

Out of curiosity I went to HH's website. On this page http://hennessyhammock.com/catalog/insulation/ there is a radiant pad...look at the top left corner, and the bottom right almost corner. There is something there that looks like they are to attach to the bungee cords inside your hammock??

You might be right. I just always thought that pad was supposed to go between the 4 season pad and the hammock to replace the Mylar that Tom demonstrated in his video showing how to set up the 4 season insulation.
At one time I tried using that bungee to gather my hammock under the fly to give more space. That bungee is at about left shoulder and at your right hand, there is just a plastic ring, but also inside the hammock. I strung the bungee over the RL, hooked it to the loop thinking that would hold the hammock up and out of the way, but was too sloppy to be of much use.
So I guess you run the cord diagonally through the loops on pad and connect it to the opposing side ring to keep the pad from shifting??

I thought it was only the Deep Jungle that had a special set up for the stupid bubble pad.
I received a Hennessy Ultralite and it has the same cords inside. The bubble pad did not fit correctly. I can not remember, I think it has something to do with tying the netting out of the way. I am sure it is posted someplace, Tom H. is very careful about his marketing.
BillyBob58 would know, he seems to be the guy to go to for information. I have found him very helpful.
Seems like i'm not he only guy wondering about this!
This seems the most plausible to me But still i haven't seen it talked about or written about anywhere.
p.s. But still it doesn't seem to make sense since the cord is so long whereas if it was to be use for the insulating pad, it should be a very short clip?
