I am feeling better about Friday evening. I was mistaken on the time for sunset. It is 7:50 and should be light enough until after 8:00. That should give me 3 hours to make just over 6 miles, that should be easy enough. The weather was nice today, I am itchin to get out!

I'll take a day like today anytime, but hope for at least the 50s.

I was talking to a guy that rides his motorcycle down there. He said 26 from 77 is super twisty and a hard drive. He suggested to go down to 7 along the river then backup to the trailhead. Anybody got a better way?

That's half the fun! I'm also showing I-77 to 78 at Caldwell to 540 to 260, but that doesn't seem much less twisty.

Thats what I'm getting Doug. Looks like coming north off of 7 requires several turns that I'm sure to get lost on. Going to trust in the mighty Gps.

I noticed Central Ohio and Backpackers meet up group is doing this hike the weekend before us. I left a message since they have 3 people wait listed and linked it here, maybe we will get a few more out with us!

I have told and invited others there to come, but got no real interest. I had actually asked the organiser about AFT a week or so before he thought about his trip. Think he stole it. I'm hoping to ask them about their trip to get a heads up on trail conditions.
