Yeah, just the four, I am good with that. I go solo about 1/2 the time and only do a group trip occassionally. They have 10 confirmed for that meet up trip and 3 on the wait list, of course they have a bigger audience. This forum is mostly those that hammock camp. I am a backpacker that converted to a hammock a few years back due to back injury, camping with 15 people in a site is not really my thing. I have 3 sons in Scouts right now...I get enough of that already!!
I saw this post on the Central Ohio Hiker's and Backpackers site...my boyfriend and I would be interested in going. Is it too late to join?
Count me as a "maybe" for this. If the weather forecast for the weekend calls for low temps below 25° I'll not be joining you. Otherwise I'm going to try to make it down there on Friday.
Will confirm one way or the other ASAP.
Things are picking up!
Kia it's funny how some of the COHB group think I'm crazy for my hammock use but we have 10 maybe 15 hangers in the overall group, not regulars but they are there.
Hope to meet some new faces.
Lots of backpackers using hammocks out there, they've come a long way in recent years. I hated the first Hennessey I tried even though I wanted to like it, a few years later I found this site and tried a WB BB, end of story. I now use the BB xlc and ridgerunner and love them, I doubt I ever sleep on the ground again.
I saw a thread where Paul from AHE said this is an extremely busy year for all the vendors. Orders are coming in faster than out. Guess the word is out.
I met a few hikers that know you from the meet up group today, did the 6 mile hike at high banks.
