    New Hammockers from Southeast TN!!

My husband and I recently bought two Eno Double Nesters and are getting ready for our first backpacking trip on the Appalachian trail with a group of friends. We have done a lot of close-range hiking and day trips, but never anything overnight. The pic I attached is my hammock, and a tarp that wasn't completely set up yet. That was a practice run testing out our hammocks and new sleeping bags to see how they do in the cold. Everything went well except for my feet getting a little cold. If you have any tips for that let me know! I am beyond excited to start seeing more beautiful back country!

Hello from Music City! My wife was in her ENO Double this Saturday night. She likes it a lot.

Enjoy the madness ... and expect to be tweaking your gear forever.

Hello and welcome to the forum from parched central California. You will pick up tons of information here and none more important than "never hang higher than you are willing to fall". Seriously though, this is the only forum I ever wanted to join. The folk here are so helpful, entertaining and informative and the mods are on their game day in and day our to keep it a great place to visit.
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.

Yeah we are super pumped to get on the AT. And Gunner, I would love an underquilt. I have just a cheap pad for now. But i'm going to come up with a makeshift foot warmer with some Hot Hands before the big trip. Everyone that had the same set up as me was fine, but my feet have kinda poor circ., so they are always cold unfortunately. Weather permitting, we leave next Friday AM for the base of Springer Mountain
