Buried depth depends, a lot on the soil. If available, I would buy 10 ft long and bury 4. This just might be over kill, but it's a difficult job to do once...doing it twice would be a killer!
I used 10' 6"x6" posts buried 30" into the ground with 3 50# bags of quick set quickcrete. Don't think they're going to go anywhere. I set them in the corner of my lot in a right triangle. The two outer posts are 14' from the corner post. BTW - family is loving the McWoodHenge Hammock Park!
In our last house I did all my hanging between our Katsura (Mountain Ash) tree and our 4x4 post which was cemented and used for our laundry line.
Swung many nights with no problem.
If I were worried about it I'd reduce the strain by hanging lower to the ground (it is the backyard so you wouldn't be dealing with brush).
@TNHunter, love HammockHenge! And who needs a UQ when you have a UF (UnderFire).

I put in two 4x6s. I burried them a full 3 feet down and they are rock solid without concrete!
I used them instead of 6x6s since they were less money and easier to manage. Took all of 20 min and a post hole digger. Done!
I used 4x4, about 2 ft deep, and a 2x4x16 header so there is minimal stress on the 4x4's.
I installed three 6x6 pressure treated posts that are 10 ft. long in my back yard. We can hang 3 hammocks at a time since they are in a triangular pattern. I put them in last summer. I used sacrete in each hole after I made sure the posts were plumb. It's nice to be able to get my wife and grandson out there for a hang. I used the 6x6 posts for the extra security.
