Sure wish I lived a bit closer, I'd be there in a heartbeat! My boat is itching to get back in the water, which will probably be June before all the ice melts! As of now the ice is about three feet thick in our harbour.

But if money is a problem or you just want a longer paddle, there are several other places to leave a vehicle and put your kayak or boat in the water. I've paddled from many of them in the area just to explore and have some variety.
Another consideration (pro and con) is that the Anderson Road Rec Area is locked at night, so no coming or going once that happens.
I'll probably paddle from the Anderson Road Rec Area. Then again, I bought an annual pass.
Neo, assuming I'm in town and not working on my taxes, I'll be there.

A friend of mine was interested in going( he is a member just never posted) and would like to bring his boy. Their problem is transportation to the island. They don't have a kayak or canoe. Is there going to be a way for them to get there? Or possibly a rental place for overnight rentals?

I am going to try to make this trip. I will post as it gets closer. I am more than willing to help with shuttle service but until i know for sure please make alternate plans.
I and one or two buddies might be able to make it. I'll confirm closer to time.
