Question Best Part of Hanging for You

As simple as that, can you name just one thing about hanging / camping / hiking that you enjoy the most? Be as specific or general as you like.

Since I have not been on my first hang yet (can't wait for May!), but have been camping / hiking many of times I would sum it up as:

That first deep breath when you are truly surrounded by the Wild

    Not much beats that moment.

    Anyone Else?
"There is no Wi-Fi in the forest, but I promise you will find a better connection"
"Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
"I have never found time spent amongst nature to be a waste of time"
"Not all who wander are lost"
"Adventure may hurt, but monotony will kill you"
"I yearn for a place untouched by man" <-- Best describes me

Being able to get out past the edge of technology!!

(I wasn't able to get there for years because there was no more sleeping on the ground for me - the hammock and a few other new 'tricks' has allowed me to get back where I belong...)

The freedom and convenience - I can set up anywhere in a forest, and only need to do it 2 minutes before I go to sleep. Also, I don't need to bring a brush to clean out my tent in the morning, or figure out exactly how to fold each tent component. And it only takes one person.

hanging vs. tent: No more roots in my back or sliding to one side of a tent! I love the freedom to set up wherever there are trees and know that I will have a comfortable sleep.

Not sleeping on the ground where the cell phone doesn't ring! Does that count as one!

I like being able to set up anywhere, and most sleeping pads slip around and eventually I'm sleeping in hard ground, with the hammock in always comfy no matter how much i move around

I enjoy being away from all the distractions of life and being in the simplicity and quietness of the woods. thats my favorite part about hanging/camping/hiking.

Freedom to roam the woods and have the flexibility to set up in more terrain, like a thimble berry patch, with little to no impact on vegetation. Privacy and serenity (for free) that you can't get at a typical campground.
