~Adventure Before Dementia~
My current rig is as follows.
ENO Single Nest $35 (used)
ENO bug net $60
25' of 3/16 Dyneema $15 (eBay)
25' of 1" nylon tube webbing $12 (eBay)
2 Rap Rings $4
2 Metolius Carabiners $15
25' of 2mm Dyneema for ridge line $10 (eBay)
2 NiteEyez S-clips $4
Kelty Noah's Tarp 9 (includes stakes) $40(eBay)
2 six inch pieces of 3/8" aluminum bar stock to use as toggles $2
Wow, I guess I really did spend nearly $200.
But... I have no bottom insulation. I was thinking of CCF, but what thickness works well enough? Are we talking Yoga Mat (3/16") or ground pad (3/4")? Or somewhere in between?
Where is the point of diminishing return?
I'm a real noob! First Post.
The info in this post has been very helpful. But it has also been very interesting to check out the gear being used in the profiles of you experienced folks that have posted.
