    Newbie Question

Being new to hammock camping, is it normal to want to get your gear out and just look at it? :/ I think it's time for spring to get here!

Yup. Get it out setup in your basement or garage and imagine how cool it be when the weather breaks. It's what gets me through the winter.

It's normal. How else would we get really familiar with our gear.

why just look at it? put it up in the backyard. it's a great way to learn (fellow noob here). If things aren't setup right you can bail (happened to me the other night...didn't have my tarp setup very well and when it got windy later on, that thing was flapping like crazy and pushing in on my face. didn't bother to use the side tie outs when I set up). it was a short walk to my bedroom. in the woods I would have been up trying to wrestle the thing in windy/sleet conditions.

March 1st hit, and I started to get excited that spring was coming. Then we got 4 inches of snow last night, reminding me that spring is still a ways away
