    I found some 24 gauge craft wire in a drawer and that worked pretty well. Did my first splice following (loosely) your video! I didn't quite make a locked brummel but did do a nice splice (only left out the part where you feed the whole line back through) with a dutch hook on the end. It's a start. Thanks Doogie!
