With one set of doors closed, in vestibule mode, I can move the hammock deep in the tarp and using my rain jacket over the foot end I have been completely protected and still have a view of the rain storm. Warm and toasty, sipping on a cup of tea, watching the rain come down. Man it just doesn't get any better. YMMV

you just made my decision! one set of doors please...(don't tell my wife!)

I've been pondering buying a tarp with doors, but I haven't been caught in a gully washer yet so the decision is tough. I suppose it is better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

I recently aquired a HG cuben hex and plan to order a griz-beak for one end. That appears to me to actually give you a real vestibule.
    Hi Cst,
If you are in storm mode the tarp pitch (angle) will usually be something less than 90 degrees.
Getting the sides as low to the ground as possible.
This should give you some play with the SF doors and allow a small vestibule.

    I don't own a SF so I can't test this.

Very Good Point. I hadn't really looked at it that way. Thanks
