Road trip and hang AR>OHT>March 27-21

Well my wife told me to take my oldest on a trip somewhere warmer, so I'm planning on doing a trip to the Ozark Highlands Trail. I'd love some company if anyone wants to join me/us for part of the trip or the whole thing. My son is still relatively young so we'll likely only be doing a handful of miles each day.... nothing too crazy

We will be road tripping down to Arkansas from the Twin Cities and that is why I also posted this in this sub-forum.

Man! It's too late for me to get off work now, but I had been thinking of a March trip to the BRT for a few months. When I saw your initial post I thought of asking you if you'd consider the doing the BRT. I drove through that part of the country a few years ago and have wanted to return either to paddle or hike it.

Have a great trip with your son.

It's a great area to hike - do you have an itinerary in mind? Reason I ask, I am not in the area now but have a cabin about 5 miles from the Carver pullout on the Buffalo and 5-7 miles from Sam's Throne. Depending on how far/ how long you want to take your son it is easy access to either the BRT or OHT in the Richland Wilderness Area. Regardless, either of the hikes will bring you some great waterfalls this time of year. Message me if you need some help locating any resources and enjoy our trip!
