    Made a Turtledog stand

These things are great! I used some 2x3s (as they were on sale) and a decent
hinge with 3/8 nuts, bolts and washers and 1" conduit tubing. I haven't added the
rope around the feet (to keep it from walking) because I ran out of rope! I'd
rather not use my amsteel or dyneema for this. I tested it out with a new hammock
that I made too I am considering replacing the yellow rope with some 1" strap
through the eyelet screw. But to be honest that seemed to work just fine!

    With my hammock stashed.

This is the whole shabang. Hammock plus stand. The Hammock is a gathered end 70D ripstop and is around 114"

I actually used my tree straps that i made to hang it. the whoopies were WAY too long. I'm considering making some whoopie slings short enough for this.

-That would be a "D" that was the first letter of me trying to "Embroider" but I soon gave that up.

the boards are a couple inches over 6' although if I ever make another stand I'll probably make them a little longer considering the boards come 8' long.

Great job. Very clear photos too! Before reading, I thought your "D" was a turtle dog symbol.

Is it better to have the stabilizing rope midway up the boards or at the bottom? or does it even matter. also.. That IS what the "D" stands for lol...(as of now)
