He imports the hammocks and adds the cheap whoopies. Here is an article on it.

Whoa! You gotta have cojones the size of cantaloupes to claim you invented the whoopie sling suspension system for hammocks, but the people awarding the grant didn't know any better.

I would personally steer clear of any company with such deceptive marketing practices and playing so loose with the facts.

Let's follow the timeline here... In January 2012, as a JUNIOR, he claimed that his interest began as a freshman, or 2 years prior. That would be in the 2009 to 2010 timeframe.

Whoopieslings.com has been around since 2008.

    Cool beans.

Yep, HF is great to be able to find out things like this about companies before you deal with them!

Frankly, unless you are HH, I believe it really pays to have a positive presence and reputation (two separate things) on HF. Even HH could probably benefit from having a presence on HF, but they have so many contracts and buyers that they don't seem to care.

Actually the article does not say he invented whoopie slings

Adams Innovation LLC: a company that designs, imports, and distributes leisure hammocks with a unique suspension system that eliminates the needs to readjust and reposition the suspension ropes.
Still, if his system is so "unique", why haven't we heard about it here ??

Also that hammock seems too short for most of us.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Maybe not verbatim, but pretty darn close.

"His research into ropes and the logging market, which he used to create his unique hammock suspension system, ultimately led to a suspension system that does not require readjustment. He plans to sell his product online and through major outdoor retailers."

The take away for this is that now we know a brand to avoid.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
