Yes I know its hard to pick one, it would be the same if you asked which walk to do in Australia, actually it would be hard to pick just one in Tasmania.

I checked out the JMT and it looks pretty special.

I am placing this on my long term goals.

If you could do one walk in the USA?

I was preparing to hike the PCT with my brother a few years ago but (un)fortunately my drumming career took off and I haven't slowed down in quite awhile. It's been fun, but takes me away from that special time in November I'm so fond of.

I still have all of my gear and still plan on doing that hike one year.

I always wanted to do the Bob Marshal wilderness near Glacier Natl Park before I got too old , but then I got too old . It's one of the wildest places in the lower 48 states .

I have spent time in glacier national park, but never backpacked, just day hike type stuff. I do know some friends who have spent a week backpacking through and what I have seen and the pictures they have showed me it is a very awsome place. Not to mention the glaciers are suppose to be melted in like 30 or 40 years.

+1 for pictured rocks. I'm not sure what you have available close to home, but if it's truly an epic once in a lifetime trip, I'd look for something I can't find at home.

    Thanks all.

Here is some images from a walk within an hours drive from my house in Tasmania. I was lucky enough to have a few days in there last week. Just so you know what I am used to.

The AT has been on the list the longest, but after watching someone's YouTube journal of the JMT, I really would like to check it out first. On the other hand, if you want to be well fed and nap after eating, all you have to do is come to the annual Florida hang in January.
