    Thumbs up Adjustable UCR Ridgeline

I am considering a UCR for an adjustable RL. My concern is after finding the right setting. The issue of putting the Hammock away and hoping that my setting for my RL doesn't change? I know to use a taught-line hitch, but that can still move. You wouldn't see an reason to go ahead and Zip tie down that tail just to keep it from moving would you?

The reason I'm asking so I can set it and forget it so to speak....hope that makes sense?

Just curious as to your thoughts all

A lighter option is to take a contrasting thread and pass it thru the RL a few times to mark the location. Maybe between the UCR and the taut line hitch. You would still be able to slide the UCR over the stitches if necessary.

You could open the weave of the line (like you were going to splice a loop or something) and put a short piece of line thru that and melt the ends of the short piece, thus becoming a stopper that won't fit inside the UCR.
    Good luck,

I lean toward replacing an adjustable SRL with one of fixed length after I decide what that length should be. The adjustable becomes available for the inevitable next hammock.
