    I think the superfly with the removable doors is the best of both worlds option!

    glad to hear your equipment held up. It would have been bad to be in a hell storm with nothing to protect you... except maybe your hammock (under it).

    I was very impressed with the MacCat tarps that I saw... have never seen a SuperFly but judging Brandon's work and care it must be good. Win/Win either way.

    I was very impressed with the DIY tarps, not quite yet there though. In the meantime I need something to keep me dry

    nope, I don't have a superfly.
    I have had the fortune of playing around with one (before the removable door option)...nice piece of work!
    And the addition of removable doors (no doors 3 season, doors in winter) would give someflexibility that no other tarp (I know of) can match

    And yes, the one I was using was a DIY tarp on it's maiden voyage...kept me dry, what else can I ask? (it is a smaller, lighter version of my winter tarp)
