    Appalachian trail weekend hike

We had a great weekend on the A.T. Had my son come up and we did a section hike. There were a lot of other hikers out also, between the weekend warriors like us and all the thru hikers it got pretty crowded. Saturday night we actually had to make a new campsite because of so many people on the trail. We had a great time and the hammock did great, this was the first time I have used it so I'm sure I have many things to learn. Here are some of our pics.

Ha! I am 99 percent shure i saw you! I was thinking about comming to ask you about your system. I was one of the boy scouts that would wander down from time to time for water. I camped under just a tarp, and regretted not having my hammock.

What kind of tent is that?

I may have to invest in a good one man tent soon.

Yes I remember seeing the scouts, hope you guys had a great trip also. You should have come on over, everything went great until the wind came in on Saturday night and it was wicked the Superfly worked great but I didn't have the doors tight enough and they were flopping something terrible but I just couldn't make myself get up and mess with them in the middle of the night.

Looks like y'all had a great time of it, in some great weather! I'm a big fan of sectioning the AT, and am looking forward to doing more of it.
Thanks for posting it up, and sharing...
